"In this work, the artist presents us with the dangers of unaffordable and unreliable energy. In his native country gasoline is smuggled in from abroad in extremely dangerous ways, including on motorcycles. The artist has laden the bike with precariously balanced glass jars that look ready to fall off and explode at any moment, as they really do in Benin, where the illegal petrol trade claims countless lives every year".
