On 21 July, the Graduate Institute and the CEPR co-organize an online public talk by Professor Pierre Yared on his paper "Pandemic Lockdown: The Role of Government Commitment". His work focuses on the importance of credible rules that allow governments to curb a pandemic while limiting the economic costs of a lockdown.

The 2020 WSIS Forum, co-organized by ITU, UNESCO, UNDP and UNCTAD, is a collaborative event aiming at fostering partnerships, information exchange, creation of knowledge and sharing of best practices on Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The online event will be ongoing until 31 August 2020.

Today, the International AIDS Society launches "AIDS 2020: Virtual" to access the latest HIV science, research and policy. The online event will be taking place until 10 July and will gather scientists, policy makers, advocates and people living with HIV to advance the HIV response.

An "infodemic" is an overaboundance of information – some accurate, some not. It makes it difficult to find trustworthy information in times of need. To address this phenomenon, the World Health Organization organizes on 29 June its first Infodemiology Conference to discuss how to manage it and help people find reliable sources of information when they require it.
