NCD Alliance was founded by four international NGO federations representing the four main NCDs – cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, and chronic respiratory disease. Together with other major international NGO partners, NCD Alliance today unites a network of over 2,000 civil society organisations in more than 170 countries. The mission of NCD Alliance is to combat the NCD epidemic by putting health at the centre of all policies.
"Flowminder Foundation is a registered non-profit organisation based in Stockholm, Sweden (reg. no. 802477-6414). Our mission is to improve public health and welfare in low- and middle-income countries. The organisation works with governments, inter-governmental organisations and NGOs. We collect, aggregate, integrate and analyse de-identified mobile operator data, satellite and household survey data. Flowminder's analyses facilitate mapping of distributions and characteristics of vulnerable populations in low- and middle-income countries.
The Geneva Health Forum (GHF), created in 2006 by the University Hospitals of Geneva and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva, is the Swiss flagship event as regards global health. Every two years, GHF attracts both Swiss and internationally renowned stakeholders, and brings together participants from all sectors (health, academia, politics, civil society and private sector professionals).
"The Global Self-Care Federation is a federation of regional and national associations, and manufacturers and distributors of nonprescription medicines on all continents. We are a Swiss association based near Geneva, Switzerland. We support the development of industry associations around the world to aid in the understanding and development of responsible self-care and self-medication."
The Global Commission on Drug Policy was established in 2011 by political leaders, cultural figures, and globally influential personalities. The Commission currently comprises 27 members, including fourteen former Heads of States or Government. Our mission is to promote evidenced-based drug policy reforms that also encompass issues of public health, social integration and security, with a strict regard for human rights.
"The Alliance for Health Promotion, established in 1997 at the 4th WHO Global Conference on Health Promotion in Jakarta, is an international NGO, in Official Relations with the World Health Organization, in Consultative Status with ECOSOC and registered with the State of Geneva since 2008. NGOs from different sectors with a strong commitment to health promotion are among its founding members. Through its wide network the Alliance reaches out to local communities, even those in remote areas.
