This week, we invited Guy Ryder, Director-General of the ILO, to choose an image on the occasion of the International Labour Conference to be held from 10 to 21 June 2019. “Since 1919, the International Labour Organization has been in the frontline bringing together governments, workers and employers to advance social justice and promote decent work. As we move forward in the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and beyond, our commitment to put people’s rights, needs and aspirations at the heart of our economic, social and environmental policies will be stronger than ever. This is what we call the human-centered approach for the future of work, and we invite everyone to join us in making it a reality.” – Guy Ryder, ILO Director-General." This image was taken by ILO photographer Marcel Crozet in a tobacco field in the region of Kasungu, Malawi.
